Dear Patients of Empower Community Acupuncture:

It is with great joy that I am announcing that my practice, Empower Community Acupuncture, will now become part of Chinese Acupuncture and Herb Center, which has 5 convenient locations across the Twin Cities. Owned by Dr. Xiaoyan Hu, she is a wonderful provider of whom I have known personally for many years. I highly recommend her and our team of acupuncture providers, with offices in Edina, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Burnsville, and now Brooklyn Park.

My office has moved to within Realief Medical, a medical practice at 7100 Northland Circle North, Suite 119, Brooklyn Park, MN. If you call my number, 763-317-6228, I will still pick up. To get there, just take 694 W and exit to Boone Ave N. Northland Circle is the first right turn north of 694 off of Boone Ave N. Note: We are in a glassy office building. The practice is located within Realief Medical, Suite 119, on the main floor. Just walk through the door and you will see a sign for Chinese Acupuncture and Herb Center.

Also, I now accept insurance! Here are the policies I cover: UCare, Medica, Health Partners, Cigna, Preferred One. If you wish to verify your coverage, please give me a call and have your insurance card ready or contact your medical insurance company directly.

What’s new: I will now provide what is called in the industry: private room acupuncture. Treatment is on a bed instead of a chair. I see one patient at a time, and you are in the room by yourself. It is a very nice room. I also now offer at no additional charge, cupping, some tui na massage (bodywork), and some qigong energy healing, which is using energy to balance your body and energy blockages. Again, cupping and tui na massage, and qigong are not offered separately, but are complementary as part of an acupuncture treatment. You need to buy an acupuncture treatment in order to get these additional services.

The standard rate of Chinese Acupuncture and Herb Center without insurance is $120 for new patients (which includes a $45 initial evaluation fee), and $75 for established patients. If you have insurance, you may only need to make a copay or deductible. Please call me or the insurance company to check your benefits. To make an appointment with me, please call 763-317-6228. I do not accept walk ins due to my changing schedule.

Thank you for your continued support and time.
